Nagai Mukundan has been chosen for this year’s Dharmatma Vaidyasubramanya Iyer Award for spreading the essence of Sanatana Dharma through pravachanam (discourse).
The award was instituted in 2009 and is given to scholars involved in the propagation of Sanatana Dharma through Vedanta teaching, pravachanam, namasankirtanam, etc. The award carrying a gold medal and a purse of Rs. 25,000 will be given away at a function tomorrow, August 31, 6 p.m. at the Sringeri jagadguru Pravachana Mantapam, Raja Annamalaipuram, by R.S. Ramanathan, Judge, Madras High Court. The ceremony will be followed by Namasankirtanam by Sri Tukaram Ganapathy.
