Kalyana utsavam was celebrated at the century old Sri Janardhana Perumal Temple situated at Panapakkam village, (Periyapalayam post), Uthukkottai taluk, Tiruvallur district. The Sri Janardhana Perumal Trust, which manages the temple, has appointed a priest for the daily rituals.
The temple, which was in a dilapidated condition, was renovated and consecration performed in May 2008.
The first kalyana utsavam of Sridevi Bhoodevi sameda Sri Janardhana Perumal was performed on Sunday last.
Funds are needed to meet the monthly expenses.
