The Balalayam function at the Tiruvaiyaru Dharmasamvardini-Panchanadiswarar temple will take place on August 19 and 20. Renovation of this ancient temple, eulogised by poets and composers, is on. A massive area has to be covered and work on the outer structures was started three years ago. Now the sanctum sanctorum has been taken up. Consecration will take place on February 7. It has been planned to instal 300 idols of Nandi (at a cost of Rs. 3,000 each), Tiruvaiyaru being hailed as his birth place.

The renovation committee solicits contributions for the installation of the Nandis and the entrance door of the Rajagopuram. Contact 9443150332 and 9840053289.
