MBA from Bordeaux University

Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM), announced a unique opportunity for Great Lakes students to earn an MBA from Bordeaux University in addition to the programme certificate/diploma they receive from GLIM. On satisfactory completion of this programme participants will receive an IAE University of Bordeaux School of Management MBA degree. The students enrolled in the course shall be registered with Bordeaux University and treated at par with students enrolled in the EU education system.

One of the salient aspects about the programmes is that the courses shall be conducted together with students from Northern Illinois University, Chicago. The programme will have an intake of 15- 20 GLIM students. The 150-hour programme will cover instructor-led teaching, industry visits and extra-curricular activities.

This programme aims to strengthen their European Economic Knowledge and International competencies in the business field. The programme will be of six weeks duration, during May and June, every year.

ICETEE ‘14

The department of mechanical engineering, Sri Sairam Engineering Collee, organised an international conference titled “Emerging Trends in Energy and Environment” (ICETEE’14) last week.

The theme for the event was “Save energy and protect environment”. About 50 papers related to energy, environment and management systems were presented in the conference by eminent research scholars and academicians. Experts from countries such as U.K., Canada, Germany and Kuwait participated in the panel discussion.

Gautam Dey, IFS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Government of Tamil Nadu, inaugurated the conference. Keynote was delivered by Dr. Tapas Mallick, Chari in Clean Technologies, followed by keynote lecture delivered by Dr. Tapas Mallick, Chair in Clean Technologies (Renewable energy), University of Exeter Cornwall Campus, U.K.
