Indian Maritime University entrance test on June 14

The Indian Maritime University (IMU), Chennai campus, is offering a variety of programmes at both the UG and PG level for students interested in a career in the maritime industry.

The Chennai campus offers various courses in different disciplines. The School of Nautical Sciences (Residential Programmes) offers two courses: The DNS course leading to B.Sc. Nautical Science (one-year). Eligibility criteria is minimum of 60 per cent in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class XII exams and 50 per cent in English. The students must also have a valid IMU-CET score. The second course is B.Sc. in Nautical Science (three years) with the eligibility criteria same as above. The School of Marine Engineering (Residential Programmes) offers B.Tech in Marine Engineering (4 years), while the School of Maritime Management (PG non-residential Programmes) offers management programmes like MBA Port and Shipping (2 years) and MBA International Transportation & Logistics (2 years).

The School of Legal Studies (PG non-residential programmes) offers a LLM Maritime Law (2 years) course.

Admission for all the above programmes will be through a Common Entrance Test (CET) to be held on June 14.
