Where culture, values, responsibilities and potential together culminate to form the foundation for a lifelong learning process, that is where the quest for excellence subsists.
Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) came into my life, marking the beginning of my passion-filled journey towards career and success.
Having graduated with a distinction in B.Sc Visual Communication from PSG College, Coimbatore, I was looking to pursue my studies in a place that would lay the foundation for lifelong learning process. That took me to MDIS.
My decision to pursue an advanced diploma in Mass Communications was purely based on the plethora of interesting subjects the course offered.
By awarding degrees in various disciplines such as Management, Life Science, Fashion Design, Engineering, Medicine, Media and Communications in collaboration with a number of acclaimed universities from the U.K., U.S.A., Australia and France, MDIS embraces international recognition on a global setting and yields great exposure.
Fair mixMDIS provides an excellent training ground for honing extra-curricular skills and talents. Every school has its own club activities, apart from sports, music and dance that are also encouraged. It has a fair mix of students from across the globe, with a dominating Indian and Pan-Asian population. Frequent cultural events and competitions are held to encourage participation that integrates towards a healthy cross-cultural interaction.
Spread across three hectares of land, the campus on Stirling Road comprises state-of-the-art classrooms, mass communication studios, hospitality centre, fashion studio and an exclusive 15-storey hostel building with an in-house theatre, gymnasium, cafeteria, convenience store, recreation clubs and other amenities.
The quality of education offered here is easily on par with American and British standards and encompasses intensive classroom participation, on-field assignments, group and individual projects, dissertation, examinations at the end of every module and other subject-related activities made my study interesting.
With experienced local faculty members as well as eminent visiting faculty from other partner universities to administer and guide the coursework and keep the students engaged both academically and commercially, one’s stay at MDIS is an enriching experience.
With the campus being located at the heart of the city and ‘Little India’ just a few kilometers away, MDIS is indeed a home away from home.
