Sargam-2014
Sargam-2014, the inter-collegiate cultural fest organised by New Horizon Educational Institution, had around 130 colleges participating in the event with the theme ‘Superheroes’. Paralympics swimmer Sharath Gayakwad was the chief guest.
Mohan Maghnani, Chairman, New Horizon Educational Institution, presided over the inaugural function.
Sargam-2014 Souvenir, a collection of articles on the theme, was released. Mr. Maghnani announced a special reward of Rs.2.51 lakh to Gayakwad in recognition of his achievements.
Awareness programme
An awareness programme was conducted at the Indian Academy on ‘Road Safety.’ Chief traffic wardens Sakhay Raj and Suresh Kumar were the resource persons in the programme. Banaswadi traffic inspector Umadevi, sub-inspector Krishna, Frazer Town traffic inspector Lakshmi Narayan and other police personnel were also involved in the programme.
Contest
Unisys has announced that registrations are open for Cloud 20/20 Version 6.0, the annual technical project contest organised by Unisys India. Entering its sixth year, the contest recognises innovative thinking among engineering students across India to address the technical challenges of cloud computing.
