These students' dream turned into reality

It has always been the aim of engineering to “make people’s life more comfortable”. Having taken up engineering as our course of study, we thought our goal is to make people live comfortably. But has it been the case? The answer is a big “no”. Technological advancements have been on the boom, but are they enough? People ravage about politics, corruption, poverty, and India’s policies with other countries, but nothing has been done to change the status quo. Talks and endless talks have been the case for generations together to bring about this “unchanged change”. And the question at stake is Will India be a developed nation? Will India be a super power? Saying is one thing, doing is another. It is high time we started thinking that “Change happens only when we change ourselves”.

This is where we take pride that we are of some use to the society through Y2H. So, what is Y2H? It is an independent youth volunteer non-profit organisation created entirely by students. These volunteers consist of students and young professionals who want to contribute to the development of the society. With this small dream, it was founded on March 5, 2012. Thanks to social networking websites, it has more than 1,000 young members .

They are actively involved in supporting many orphanages in and around the city. Its functions primarily involve providing orphanages food, clothing, medical facilities, emotional support and identifying young skills and talent. The cliché seems to go well: Youngsters are not useless. They are used less.

We invite all the good-hearted people to join us and make our dream a reality.
