I am currently pursuing B.Com second year. Recently I saw a brief advertisement in a magazine about a leadership programme in banking on offer from ICICI. I am not able to get any details. Please help with the details, information and prospectus.

The ICICI Business Leadership programme (Batch VII) (www.icicicareers.com) is a two-year full-time residential course that will provide hands-on experience in banking and finance. On successful completion of the programme the participant gets placed as an officer in the mid-management level in a bank. The candidates also qualify for the MBA in Finance and Banking from the NIIT University. The programme has a total of eight terms, wherein each term is of three months. A total of four terms will be in the bank, which will ensure the linkage to the practicalities of banking.
Those who are engineers, graduates in any discipline, Chartered Accountants (CA) with a minimum work experience of three-years in pharma, steel, oil and gas, aviation, power, IT, to mention a few areas, besides banking and financial services, are eligible for the programme. The minimum academic achievements should be 60 per cent in 10th and 12th classes. In the graduation phase the prospective participants should have scored a minimum of 55 per cent.

The Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) [Kamil-e-Tib-o-Jarahat] is monitored by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), a statutory body of the Government of India. Those who have completed Senior Secondary (PUC) in the Science stream (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) are eligible for the programme. The age of the prospective candidates as on October 1 of the year of admission should be 17 years.

One of the best institutes is the Indian School of Mines University (1926) (ISMU) (www.ismdhanbad.ac.in), Dhanbad. The institute was granted the status of a deemed to be University under the UGC Act in 1967.
The Department of Mining Engineering of the ISMU commenced operations in 1926; and from then on it has gone from strength to strength. It conducts the following programmes:
