K. P. Krishnan understands animal and bird behaviour, their power hierarchy, how they define their territories, their survival mechanisms and everyother thing pertaining to them. He developed much of this knowledge by exploring various forests around the world.

K. P. Krishnan, who is a wildlife photographer, believes the capacity for observation is extremely important in this profession.

“Earlier, I was a software professional and as part of my job I would travel. Whenever I had free time, I would go to the forests and spend some time there. My father was in the Army and that gave me an opportunity to visit various places during my childhood. I used to roam around with binoculars spotting birds and animals,” says Krishnan “We need to be terribly patient to get a perfect shot. Many a time, I have returned empty-handed. But that doesn’t matter. The stillness and silence of the forest is a soul-satisfying experience,” he adds.

Ramesh also has an enterprise (Klachak.com) that rents cameras, lenses and other photography equipments to both amateurs and professionals. “I have two other friends who are also photography enthusiasts. One of them is a sports photographer. Photography is expensive, both as a hobby and a profession. So we decided on starting an enterprise that would rents cameras, lenses and other photography equipments, which led Klachak.com,” says Krishnan. He is also a musician and scores music for his videos on wildlife.

K. P. Krishnan lives in Thoraipakkam. He conducts both free and paid workshops. He has given his photographs for charitable and commercial purposes. His photographs have appeared in the covers of various magazines and calendars of corporate companies. Those interested in attending photography workshops may call 88706 72299.
