Our film industry shows utmost verve and alacrity when it comes to registering titles, though the same can't be said about conceiving and executing a story. Around 90 titles have been registered at the Film Chamber in May this year; while some are outdated and antiquated others are amusing, somber, historical and even absurd. Some eye grabbing titles are Dakshina Madhya Railway Jattu , Kottha Pellikoothru..tellarthe ashadam , Gunde Jari Gallanthaiyindi , Vadevadu Veedevadu Ma Premaki Addevadu , Love Cycle...bellu breakulu levu .
A certain newspaper baron can take a cue from this title Tara Sitara Nayantara if he wishes to build another hotel, the Three Angels Studio which came up with Banam and a disaster Om Shanti has decided on a stale name Billa Ranga for its third venture. Some banners are super confident of the archaic, uninspiring and very ordinary titles like Aadrushtavantalu, Adhipati, Alexander, Gaja Donga, Pratighatana, Justice Chowdary LLB, Rudrama Devi, Manchi Babu, Manusulo Mata and Janda Pai Kapiraju .
Chota Bheem , an animation film has been registered twice apparently for the Telugu version too. Little Dragon is another film for the kids. The cheeky ones are Vocchadu Sacchinodu, Pandaga Chesuko, Baboi Nakee Pelloddhu, Nuvvu Keka Maama, Na Darling Kuda Inthe, Intinti Annamayya. The number of titles filed in the genre of love surpasses all- Ma Pelli Ki Randi.....with family , Oka Choopuke Padipoya, O Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham, Pratighatana, Prayanam Lo Parichayam, Paduchammayulu Premakathalu, Prema Oka Maikam, Premanai Vostha, Madhu Marriage Story, Mr Premikudu, Love Lo Unnamu .. don't disturb .
The title Tea Samosa Biscuit which was spoken about for having YSR in a guest role has been reportedly handed over to Pushpanjali Creations. After Avakai Biryani , we will now get to see our very own Hyderabad Biryani . O Cheliya Ninnu Korina Na Manasu may seem a bit too lengthy but there is also the deep and intriguing Kaaluthunna Pulathota .
Then there are the seemingly religious titles Hyndavi..a power of a Hindu Girl and Jesus... My God too . We do not know whether all the 90 titles will actually translate to movies one day but we can't rule out film enthusiasts registering titles and selling them to make a fast buck and for publicity.
Also don't be surprised if we soon have ‘Khaidi Number 6093' registered after the recent development of a popular politician going behind bars with the number allotted to him therein.
