Prakash Raj has his hands full with more than half-a-dozen Bollywood films and a couple in other languages. The actor says, “I’m thrilled to have acted with a lot of top Hindi film actors, including Amitabh Bachchan. Since I’m always shuttling from one place to another, I’m not able to do much in South right now. But whenever a good project comes my way, I grab it. Such as Chennayil Oru Naal, the remake of the Malayalam film Traffic. The film has a message for all of us.”

Striking gold

Sports and cinema have always been intertwined. We have the likes of cricketer Sadagopan Ramesh and swimming ace Arun Balaji entering tinseltown while the likes of Shalini Ajith gives it her all for competitive badminton. The latest to join the list is actor Ananya, who has bagged the gold medal in Kerala State Archery Championship. Ananya, who started her acting career as a child artiste and then played the lead in the Malayalam film Positive, has remained just that — positive! The actor who was part of films such as Nadodigal and Engeyum Eppodhum, says, “I’m glad I bagged the gold. I’m still taking in the moment. I worked hard to get it, and will worker harder for the nationals.”
