Shah Rukh injured during film shooting

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan sustained minor injuries shooting for his upcoming film ‘Happy New Year’ in a 5 star hotel in Mumbai on Thursday morning.

Around 8 a.m. while shooting a song sequence for the movie, a car door that was faulty landed on his face injuring his shoulder and forehead. The actor was rushed to Nanavati hospital and was discharged after treatment.

The official statement released by his publicist said the injuries were minor. “Mr. Khan had a minor accident on the sets while shooting. He has a minor injury and has got the necessary medical aid. Mr. Khan is absolutely fine now. Thank you for all your wishes,” read the statement.

The police so far have not registered any case. “We are still getting details and if there is any complaint by Mr. Khan and if the injuries are serious in nature, necessary action will be taken,” senior police inspector, Santacruz police station, Mr. Arun Chawan told The Hindu .
