After an impressive outing with Raanjhanaa, actor Dhanush has begun work on his second Hindi film. Directed by Balki, this yet-untitled film will mark Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter Akshara Haasan’s acting debut. The first schedule of the film is on at Igatpuri, a hill station in Nasik, Maharashtra. One of the highlights of the film is Amitabh Bachchan. Apparently Dhanush told his friends that he was nervous to be acting alongside the legend. Says Dhanush, “Amitabh Bachchan is an encyclopaedia in acting. I have met him and his son in their house before. He is a warm and affectionate person, and it is an honour for me to work with him.”

The big surprise

First came the Padma Shri. Then came the surprise. After ace cinematographer Santhosh Sivan bagged the civilian award, actor Suriya threw him a surprise party. Suriya is currently shooting for Anjaan, directed by Lingusamy and with cinematography by Santhosh Sivan. So, the actor had asked Lingusamy to bring Santhosh Sivan to an undisclosed spot in Mumbai, in the guise of location hunt.

We hear that the cinematographer was thrilled to find the likes of Madhavan, Ritiesh Deshmukh, Shruti Haasan, Prabhu Deva, Samantha and the cast and crew of Anjaan waiting to wish him!
