Whether it is Kireedam , Madrasapattinam , Naana or Poi Solla Poram (the Tamil remake of Khosla Ka Ghosla ), director A. L. Vijay has shown amazing versatility. The young and happening director comes up with amazing ideas and doesn’t have qualms over embarking on them despite the risks. Currently his pet project is in the process of being completed — an action thriller with Vikram playing the hero. “Since most of the Tamil films are being watched here and with the good response we got for Naana , we decided to cast Jagapati Babu as the other hero and he did a great job. I approached him for this role of a cop and even before I narrated the script ,he said yes. We call him JB Sir. I’ll feel lucky to work with Vikram again and it’s not only because the script demands the presence of Vikram.”

The director says that most of the film was shot in London. It it is about the friendship between two people Shiva (Vikram) and Sharat Kumar (Jagapati Babu). There is also a love angle that revolves around Anushka, a doctor and Vikram. “If I want to do ten films in my career, I want each of them to be different. I don’t want to be labelled as doing a particular kind of film. It will not only motivate me but also give me all the pleasure in doing the job. I had Shiva Tandavam ( Thandavam in Tamil) on my mind for the past two years. It has a fantastic power packed performance and Vikram’s fans will not be disappointed. The other actors are Amy Jackson, Lakshmi Rai, Sayaji Shinde, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Santhanam.”

Vijay finally avers, “It’s about a poor son being betrayed by a selfish motive, it’s a revenge drama and the anger is likened to Tandavam, an expression of Shiva — anger which is vented on the traitor. We also shot in Delhi and Chennai. My films will always have two elements, human values and sensibility. We are aiming for a September release.”
