The banner has churned out hits with Venu in the past. The Swayamvaram and Chirunavvutho hero has teamed up with producer P.V. Shyamprasad once again to entertain the audience with a rollicking spy comedy directed by G. Easwar Reddy.

Kamalinee Mukherjee plays the female lead. The shoot was in progress at the Shamshabad Airport.

The unit was parked at the entrance to the airport and the actors on location were next to the lead pair.

Chandramohan, Brahmanandam, Raghubabu, L.B. Sriram and a host of junior actors played as travellers. Venu held a bouquet and sporting a broad smile, waved to his family and friends.

“It is a send-off scene,” says Easwar after completing the shot. “Venu plays the title role, Ramachari, a spy or you can call him a private detective.

He leaves for USA on a job and is being seen off by his associates and the heroine, Kamalinee Mukherjee. She plays the part of a florist who falls in love with the spy,” explains the director. There is a tag line to the title— ‘Eedo Peddha Goodhachari' and that explains the comic tinge to the central theme.

“Ramachari attempts one thing in all seriousness but it turns out to be something else favouring the others. It is like a Tom and Jerry comic strip, a comedy of errors that takes viewers on a giant wheel of entertainment, especially during the scenes between Ali who plays a thief and the Police Inspector (Brahmanandam) which are hilarious,” adds Easwar.

Giribabu plays the I.G. of Police, Murali Sharma, plays the Commissioner of Police and Chandramohan, plays the role of a police constable. While the exterior of the send off scene was shot at the real venue at Shamshabad, the interiors of the aircraft with Venu and others will be canned later at a studio set, revealed Easwar.

He had learned the intricacies of film direction from late E.V.V. Satyanarayana and followed his Master's path of churning out wholesome entertainers, be it in his debut film, Siddhu from Srikakulam or the subsequent ‘Sita Ramula Kalyanam Lankalo. “Ramachari' is along the same lines but is a totally hilarious film,” he says.

The unit will be flying to Bangkok soon to film two duets on Venu and Kamalinee Mukherjee. The movie is slated for release in September.
