It is common in the Tamil film industry to see people from diverse backgrounds getting into production. So, not surprisingly, a paediatrician and a professor team up to produce Megha. Starring Ashwin, who played a sub-inspector in Mankatha, and Srishti, the film is directed by Karthick Krish, a former associate of Subramania Siva.

Producers Albert James, a city-based paediatrician and Selva Kumar, professor at an engineering college in the city, say the story is about a forensic expert trying to solve a murder.

“The protagonist will play a forensic expert who specialises in gun shot wounds,” says director Karthick Krish. The film is scheduled to release in the last week of April.

What is significant in their project as producers? Albert James says, “Signing up Ilaiyaraaja as music director. What can be more significant than this?”
