After the success of Aamir Khan-starrer 3 Idiots , it is time for the The 4th Idiot.

But make no mistake, as this is not the sequel to the blockbuster but an animated film inspired from it.

Produced and directed by Biswaroop Roy Chowdhry, The 4th Idiot takes forward the story of the blockbuster film in animated form and will release on May 9.

“Phunsuk Wangdu (character played by Aamir Khan in 3 Idiots ) is now the principal of the school, movie shows what the institution would be like,” said Chowdhry.

The 4th Idiot is the story of a boy, Pappu, who uses techniques taught by Aamir’s character in 3 Idiots and achieves otherwise unachievable goals.

Pappu tops his school, gets the love of his life and even makes it to the moon.

The 4th Idiot also retains the Chatur Ramalingam (Omi Vaidya) of 3 Idiots , who has done the narration for the animation flick.

Vaidya will also be singing a section of a song ‘Kar Bheje Ka Istemaal’ (Use Your Brain). The other song in the movie is ‘Har Taraf Se Hai Pressure’ (There Is Pressure From Every Side).

“This film is definitely inspired by 3 Idiots. The awareness which was created by the 3 Idiots , we have attempted to take it forward. The film is to tell the children that anything can be solved and achieved using your brain,” he said.
