Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan – a full length photo realistic performance captured in 3D animation film - will hit the screens this summer in six Indian languages – Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri and Marathi, its publicist said on Sunday.
Kochadaiiyaan team disclosed that the film will be sent for Censor certificate later this month and the film is all set for a summer release. The film’s publicity partner Karbonn Mobiles and Hungama Online and Mobile Games are expected to scale up publicity in the coming weeks.
The film directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin has the story screenplay and dialogues by K.S. Ravikumar, a director who has been associated with Rajinikanth’s blockbusters including Padaiyappa and Muthu.
On a day filled with news for Tamil cinema fans, there was interesting developments from the camps of both Rajinikanth and ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan.
The news from Raaj Kamal Film International (RKFI) is that Kamal Haasan’s next will be a co-production between RKFI and Thirrupathi Brothers, a film production company floated by film director N. Lingusamy and his brother N. Subash Chandra Bose.
The film titled Uthama Villain will be directed by actor Ramesh Aravind, who has previously acted with Kamal Haasan in both Tamil and Kannada films. Apart from playing the lead, Kamal Haasan will script the story and screenplay. Music score will be by upcoming music director M. Ghibran.
