The audio release of ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth-starrer Kochadaiiyaan is slated for February 15, following a confirmation from the film’s production house.

Sony Music, which holds the music rights to the film, sent out a Tweet from its official account on Saturday starting a frenzy on the social network among the actor’s legions of fans. The official twitter account – @SonyMusicSouth noted: “The production house has just informed us that the audio of #Kochadaiiyaan in @arrahman’s music will release on the 15th of Feb 2014.”

Fans of the actor, who have been waiting for the film’s release, not only shared the message but also started speculating that the film might release in April or May.

Kochadaiiyaan ’s crew had previously announced that the audio would release in December last year and that the film was slated for a mid-January release. However this was postponed because the film’s post-production work is still on. Sources said the film’s director Soundarya Rajinikanth is overseeing post-production work on the photo-realistic 3D motion capture movie at a studio in China.

A trailer of the film was released to overwhelming response in September last and a single ‘Enge Pogutho Vaanam’ sung by veteran playback singer S.P. Balasubramanian was released by Sony and is already a big hit. The song was one of the top downloads on Apple’s iTunes store in India last year.

Kochadaiiyaan is produced by Eros International.
