Now that Nenokkadine is out, Kriti Sanon is putting all her energy, focus into Hero Panthi , her debut Hindi movie. The movie is a launch vehicle for Jackie Shroff’s son Tiger Shroff, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. “This is the second film I signed but since I was doing a Telugu film and it was releasing first I gave my dates as priority. Now it is only Hero Panthi on my mind.” What was the response for 1Nenokkadine ? “I was overwhelmed with the compliments that came pouring in but the most touching one was director Sukumar’s. He said I portrayed the character the way he wanted me to. It was my first film, that big compliment definitely means a lot to me,” says the ebullient and candid girl.
A Tamil turn
Satya 2 came and left and people hardly remember his work, but the next one is sure to leave a lasting impact, says Sharwanand. Run Raja Run is a commercial movie being directed by Sujith, a a debutant whoseshort films are on the Youtube. “He is 24 and is fantastic. I had great time working with him.” Ask him how he picks interesting subjects, he quips, “More than me spotting talent, it is they who come to me. I don’t go after them. It is the other way round and lucky I am getting good stuff. This is a good love story. What I am doing with Cheran meanwhile is a family film. I dubbed for Cheran’s film and I am now very comfortable with Tamil, and I keep getting lot of offers for Tamil movies. Sometimes I think it is great that they are showering so much love by viewing just one film.” Sharwanand had already signed a K. S .Rama Rao film and his co-star is Nitya Menen.
But wiser
Nikhil is back in Hyderabad after having shot for a socio-fantasy called Karthikeya. Now the DOP of the film Kartik Ghattamaneni, has narrated a nice script to Nikhil and he loved it. The hero has a small problem, it is a Barfi type of film. It is a rom-com too. “People remember you only if you do good films. I have realised that I am suitable only for certain genres,” says a wise Nikhil. The actor is not in a rush to sign films, his priority is quality cinema and does not want to jeopardise his career by doing an insignificant film.
Realising dreams
“I am basically from Haryana but live in Baroda. I got this film through Karteek, my co-star in Undhile Manchi Kalam Mundhu Mundhuna,” says the vivacious Neetu Chowdary. She has passed out with a master’s degree in human resource management and also holds a masters degree in commerce. She had done a reality show and a serial on national television. She adds, “I travel to Mumbai on and off for work. I have never faced any language problem, after a while I get very comfortable with any language and I pull it off very well. The film has been shot in Visakhapatnam and it is a beautiful city, it has lovely people, they treat you so well.” The actor gushes all her dreams had come true so far; even her name Pari in the film, was something she dreamt of and it did become true.
