Reminiscing about the film, Shah Rukh took to Twitter to thank the director and the cast.

Devdas will always be special. Thank you Bhansali... the beautiful ladies and everyone. Late nights, long shoots and so much love,” he tweeted.

The film saw actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the role of Paro, Devdas’s love interest and Madhuri Dixit Nene as Chandramukhi, a courtesan who falls in love with SRK’s onscreen character.
