Script is king
Prabhu Solomon is back. Apparently, the Mynaa director was busy for nearly eight months with the script of his upcoming Kayal. “To me, the script is the foremost, and if that is completed, half my work is over. Looking for artistes and locations forms the rest of the work. We will shoot in places such as Chennai, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Shimoga and Ladakh,” the director says. The film is to be produced by Escape Artistes Motion Pictures and God Pictures. D. Imman will compose the music. New finds Chandran, Vincent and Anandi will play the lead.
A slice of 3D
For a while now, 3D films have been creating a buzz. But, here’s a twist to that trend — a film with just one song in 3D. A.R. Rafi, the director of Anjalthurai , says, “I wanted the visual to be very powerful, so I opted for 3D; the song has come out well. The story starts with a letter that reaches three youngsters. What follows is a thriller.” Rafi has also written the story, screenplay, dialogue, and handled the editing, camera and lyrics for the film.
Happy times
Newly weds actor Bharath and his dentist wife Jeshly are on cloud nine. The actor says, “We knew the differences in our respective religions, and wanted to get married only with the acceptance of our parents. We are glad things fell in place.” On the film front too, Bharath has lots to smile about. “I have two big projects — one in Hindi and the other in Tamil. The Tamil film is to be directed by Thirumurugan, who directed me in En Magan . I’m also doing two Malayalam films, and in one, I’m working with Mohanlal,” says an excited Bharath.
