Concept: The title says it all. It is a non-stop entertainer, a romantic story with a twist in the tale that leads to an intriguing situation for the young lovers.

About the director: Krishna, who is making his first full-length feature film is a graduate from Nizam College and worked in the IT industry in India and US before entering the world of cinema. During his stay in the US he did a Filmmaking course at the University of Texas, Arlington (UTA) and learned the art of planning, shooting and editing besides screen writing. And he also learned that “the best way to learn how to make movies is to make movies.” While working in Dallas, he made an award winning music video which was screened at the Dallas Film Fest.

Director’s take: ‘Galaata’ is a popcorn entertainer, about the roller coaster romance of Chitti (Sri) and Andaal (Haripriya) the two consummate players who give as good as they get. How these two employ their pickup artist skills to negotiate an extremely dangerous situation and come up trumps is the unique point of the story. The lead players are supported by seasoned actors like Saikumar, Nagababu, Ali, Jayaprakash Reddy, Srinivasa Reddy, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Melkote, Prithvi, Annapurna and others. They enact interesting cameos in this love galaata. Feroze Khan cranked the camera and Nicholas is the editor.

Progress: Two schedules have been completed and the third schedule commenced from November 14 at Visakhapatnam and Araku valley. In this schedule that lasts till November 22, producer Rajendra Prasad Varma plans to shoot a song (lyrics: Krishna Chaitanya) on the hero and heroine and key scenes involving them and other major actors. Sriteja Nadimpalli is the executive producer.
