Tere Bin Ladenwas a sleeper hit in the country and abroad. What kind of responses have you been getting?
Overwhelming! The responses we have got were not what we had expected. I'm grateful to people who have liked the film. When I signed on, I wanted to do something that was out-of-the-box. And the film fulfilled that wish.

Tere Bin Laden didn't release in Pakistan, but many watched it on pirated DVDs and loved the film.
What was the best compliment you have received for the film?
I met this gentleman whose friends forced him to watch Tere Bin Laden when he was sick. He told me that despite not being well, he ended up laughing and rolling in his chair. I was also happy when Salman Khan said he enjoyed watching the film. His laughter is infectious and child-like.
