You were a Kalashetra student, but in films, we never got to see your potential as a dancer?
I've done a few good films in Malayalam that brought out the best in me as a dancer. For instance, Thooval Kottaram that ran for nearly 300 days.
Are you happy with the roles you've done so far?
I've done over 100 films in South Indian languages, and I'm happy that a lot of my roles are still talked about. But then, as they say, desire is endless. I have the thirst for more; to showcase my potential. I've also choreographed for Malayalam films, directed a serial, written the lyrics for films and albums, even sung for serials.
You've worked in both small and big screens. How has it been?
I'm happy with the way things have been going for me. Quality and success are two different things, and, am glad my producers (both small and big screens) too are happy with my performance. But, like I said, I'm looking for powerful roles, big screen or small.
How do you want to be known — actor, dancer or lyricist?
Anything! As for me, I want to do moving films like Paa and Black .
