What is your idea of happiness?
Living each moment to the fullest.
What is your greatest fear?
I’m extremely emotional, and fear losing somebody I love.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I wish I were taller. I’m 5’5”, and everybody in my family is taller than I am.
If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be?
I love them just the way they are.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Though I’ve achieved a lot for somebody my age, I’m not sure I can call any of them my greatest achievement. So, let’s say it’s yet to come.
If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?
I’d like to come back as an adorable little puppy.
What is your idea of misery?
When people don’t exercise their choice to turn around a bad situation.
Where would you like to live?
I live in Chennai, and I’d rather live nowhere else.
What if you weren’t acting for a living?
I’d probably have been a terrible doctor. I’m glad I didn’t become one; I’m scared of injections.
What is your most marked characteristic?
I think I’m bubbly and loud. No matter where I am, my presence gets felt.
What is the quality you most like in the opposite sex?
Honesty.
What do you most appreciate in your friends?
How their love for me has remained the same after I’ve become an actress.
Who are your favourite authors?
I love philosophy, and so, love Osho. I like how unusual his writing is.
Who is your favourite hero of fiction?
I don’t read fiction.
Who are your heroes in real life?
Rajinikanth. I am awed by his aura.
What are your favourite names?
I’m happy with my name—Nikita.
What is your present state of mind?
As Ko-2 is just around the corner, I’ve been busy giving a lot of interviews. I’m now wondering who my next interviewer is.
How would you like to die?
I wish I could be immortal. But if not, at least a peaceful death please? Say, when I am 75 and being a cool grandmother to my grandchildren at the beach.
What is your favourite motto?
If you can’t do good, at least stop from doing bad.
