The megastar started his career as a voice narrator in Mrinal Sen's " Bhuvan Shome" in 1969.

>Mr. Bachchan , however, debuted as an actor in Khwaja Ahmed Abbas's "Saat Hindustani" where he played the role of one of the seven protagonists in the film. The movie won award for the best film on National Integration in the National films Awards that year.
