Actor Nandulal Krishnamoorthy a.k.a. Nandu is walking on air these days, having landed in lead roles in two of his upcoming films – Vinod Mankara’s Ottamandaram and C. N. Premkumar’s Aalroopangal . In Ottamandaram he plays Bharathan, who is persuaded into marrying his teenaged sister-in law. “It has been a great experience shooting in a remote village of Tamil Nadu. People in the crowd were very surprised to hear that I, complete with salt and pepper hair, was the hero!” Sajitha Madathil plays his wife, Neela, and Bhamaa is his sister-in-law, Kala. In Aalroopangal , he is Kanakan, who runs a thattukada. Shot entirely in the capital city, the story narrates how a hartal turns Kanakan's life upside down. Maya Viswanath plays his wife and yesteryear actor Raghavan plays Panicker sir, a writer and Kanakan’s well-wisher. Sudheer Karamana plays another important role.

“It seems the industry has taken notice of me and I am being offered roles in which I have enough scope to perform,” says Nandu.
