Hollywood star Dustin Hoffman is in talks to join Oliver Stone’s Edward Snowden drama that will start shooting in January.

The 77-year-old ‘The Graduate’ star is up for the roles of either a mentor of Snowden’s at the NSA or a politician in the film, reported New York Post.

Hoffman will join ‘Divergent’ star Shailene Woodley, who is currently in talks to play Snowden’s girlfriend, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the lead role.

The untitled film will begin shooting early next year in Germany, Hong Kong, Washington, DC, and Hawaii.

Stone is also producing the project, which is based on two books, Luke Harding’s ‘The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted Man’ and an upcoming novel by Snowden’s attorney Anatoly Kucherena.
