‘Danger Mouse’, the animated TV hero, is all set to make a comeback on TV.

The cartoon series, which ran for more than a decade until 1992, will return to CBBC next year with a new 52-episode series, reported Daily Telegraph .

The white-clad rodent, who wore a patch over one eye, was voiced by David Jason. His sidekick, Penfold, was played by the late Terry Scott.

There have been no reports on who will provide the voices in the new run.

Danger Mouse and Penfold will continue to operate from a red post box, although it will now be packed with cutting-edge technology as befitting any modern action mouse.
