This book is meant not only for those studying chemistry at the undergraduate level, but also for those preparing for competitive exams such as NET, SLET, GATE and the UPSC Civil Services Examination. The guide’s 16 chapters are split across seven units, starting right from the foundations — statistical methods of analysis (errors in experimental measurements). Each chapter is followed by a set of subjective and objective-type questions to facilitate revision. Unit II covers volumetric and gravimetric analysis in detail, useful for practical sessions. Units III and IV are Thermal Methods of Analysis and Electroanalytical Technqiues respectively. The remaining units explain atomic and molecular spectroscopy and spectrometry.

Publisher: Pearson India Education Services

Authors: Umang Shah, Ashok Akabari, Amit Kumar Baser, Ashish Patel

The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a national-level examination for entry to postgraduate pharmacy programmes. The advantage of this guide is that it covers all bases for aspiring pharmacists. While the first four of six units focus on GPAT, the fifth one is devoted to the NIPER (National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research) JEE. The final unit is composed of eight solved papers of various pharmaceutical entrance exams, including three years of GPAT. The books is peppered with several tables, figures, and reaction diagrams to aid preparation. This third edition has been updated to reflect the 2017 GPAT syllabus and contains this year’s fully solved GPAT paper.
