Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire

Publishers: Versus Evil, Obsidian Entertainment

Genre: Role-playing

If you find seafaring and island exploration appealing, this is just the game for you. Deadfire is played from an isometric perspective. Here, the player takes the role of a “Watcher” with the ability to look into the souls of the dead and read their memories. Players need to hire their crew and can choose from seven companions to embark on the quest to pursue a rogue god. The game features vastly improved graphics, and its immersive storytelling will keep you engaged. Deadfire has been published for Microsoft Windows, Linux, macOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Jurassic World Evolution

Publisher: Frontier Developments

Genre: Business simulation

Ever since the 1990s, when the first Jurassic Park movie released, the virtual world of dinosaurs has continued to attract new fans. Jurassic World Evolution, developed by Frontier Developments, allows players to create their own Jurassic World. The objective is to develop a dinosaur theme park on the islands of the Las Cinco Muertes archipelago, featuring bio-engineered dinosaurs that have the ability to think, feel and react intelligently to the world around them. Players need to build and manage the infrastructure while taking care of the dinosaurs. One can also unlock new species of dinosaurs through DNA sequencing. The game is available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Fe

Publisher: Electronic Arts

Genre: Action-adventure game

An indie game developed by Zoink, a Swedish-based studio, Fe aims to be “a personal narrative about our relationship with nature,” according to the studio’s CEO. In the game, the players control a fox-like creature named Fe. It is set inside an enchanting Nordic forest filled with mystical creatures. However, the denizens of the forest are being attacked by the Silent Ones, the machine antagonists. The game has minimal instructions and encourages players to interact with and explore the forest’s ecosystem to progress further. It has been released for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
