Debate winners
Pratik K. Ramesh and Anjanai Barhanpure, students from National Public School, Koramangala, Bangalore, were declared winners at the India National Finals of Debating Matters India, organised by The British Council and Institute of Ideas, U.K., last week.
Nistha Sharma and Leah Grace Tenzing from Palijor Namgyal Girls School, Sikkim, were the runners-up. Twelve schools from each region battled at the Regional Finals to secure two spots in the Debating Matters India National Finals. Eight schools in total (both the winners and runners-up schools from each region) qualified to compete in the National Finals. The winner of the National Finals Debating Matters India 2012-13 will compete with the winner of National final winner at London in October 2013.
L’Attitude 13° 05'
The sixth edition of the annual inter B.school fest of the Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, L’Attitude 13° 05', was organised at its campus recently. The festival featured a potpourri of events and competitions.
The theme for the fest was “Business Darwinism: Be Distinct or Be Extinct.” Nitin Paranjpe, CEO and MD, Hindustan Unilever Ltd and Lakshmi Narayanan, Vice Chairman, Cognizant Technology Solutions Ltd, were the chief guests.
Education fair

Laptops for students
The Honorable Minister for Higher Education participated in the event organised by Guru Nanak College, and distributed laptops to 1,100 students of the college.
