Boston Celtics, meanwhile, got the better of Detroit Pistons 91-81 – a season-low for Detroit in terms of points scored in a match.

Taylor notches up record 17th century

Ross Taylor scored a record-equalling 17th century as the hosts edged closer to a series sweep against the West Indies.

Taylor’s unbeaten 107, which puts him on par with Martin Crowe and current captain Kane Williamson for maximum number of Test centuries for New Zealand, helped the Kiwis set a target of 444 for West Indies.

The visitors were 30 for two at the end of third day’s play, with two full days remaining in the Test match.
