Ningthoujam-Bhakat win gold at World Archery Youth Championship
For the first time since Deepika Kumari’s victories in 2009 and 2011, India won gold at the World Archery Youth Championship.
The mixed pair of Jemson Ningthoujam and Ankita Bhakat won recurve team gold by defeating Russia in the final.
It was a promising show by the youngsters as they finished with three medals, winning a silver and a bronze apart from the mixed recurve gold.

Lewandowski leads Poland to WC
With a record-setting 16th goal in the European World Cup qualifying campaign, Robert Lewandowski led Poland through to Russia 2018 with a 4-2 victory over Montenegro on Sunday.
Germany, meanwhile, made it a perfect 10 out of 10 in their campaign, defeating Azerbaijan 5-1. Germany became only the second country to achieve the feat after Spain during the qualifying of the 2010 tournament.
Salah sends Egypt to first WC since 1990
After years of misses, Egypt finally made it to the World Cup for the first time since 2010. Mohamed Salah scored both of his side’s goals in their 2-1 win over Congo Brazzaville.
