Hasan Ali became the fastest Pakistani to 50 ODI wickets and Imam-ul-Haq became only the second from his country to score a hundred on debut as they helped defeat Sri Lanka by seven wickets to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.

Lionel Messi scored his 100th goal in European competition with a free kick in Barcelona’s 3-0 Champions League victory over Olympiacos.

In other games on Wednesday night, Chelsea were held to a 3-3 draw by Roma in a thriller while Atletico Madrid were frustrated in a goalless draw against Qarabag.

Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Bayern Munich and FC Basel registered victories to take all three points.
