Seminar on quality management

August 22, 2012 12:42 am | Updated 12:42 am IST - CHENNAI:

At a time when corporates try to gain competitive advantage in the marketplace, total quality management has emerged as a vital principle across boardrooms.

It is in this connection that the Anna University-TVS Centre for Quality Management is organising a three-day programme on “How to create a TQM organisation”, later this month.

Katsutoshi Ayano, Chief of Department of Business Adminstration, Tokai University, will be heading the seminar.

“The four-phase methodology of TQM should be imparted in the minds of budding engineers even during their college days, so as to upgrade the overall standards of the Indian industry,” said P. Kaliraj, Vice-Chancellor, Anna University.

The AU-TVS Centre for Quality Management was established in 1995, and was mandated to meet the need of spreading quality awareness through formal training.
