RIL Executive Director Ravi Mohan passes away

Reliance Industries Executive Director and a prominent figure on the Indian financial landscape R. Ravi Mohan died here on Monday night following cardiac arrest.

Ravi Mohan, 52, is survived by wife Madhuralakshmi, daughter Hridaya and son Jagad.

His mortal remains were consigned to flames at the Shivaji Park crematorium in the presence of RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani, Executive Director P. M. S. Prasad, Chief Financial Officer Alok Agarwal and Crisil Managing Director & CEO Rupa Kudva, besides other top functionaries of RIL, Crisil and Standard & Poor’s.

“We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Ravi Mohan. He was a keen supporter of Reliance Industries and a very dear friend. On behalf of all of us at Reliance Industries, I offer my heartfelt condolences to Ravi’s family and many friends,” Mr. Mukesh Ambani said in a statement.

Mr. Ravi Mohan, who was handling the proposed acquisition of global petrochemical major LyondellBasell Industries, was rushed to hospital after he suffered a cardiac arrest while taking a walk outside his office. Mr. Ravi Mohan had also served as Standard & Poor’s Managing Director and Regional Head for South and Southeast Asia
