Reliance brings Pocket Gamer Connects to Bengaluru

Pocket Gamer Connect (PGC), an international mobile gaming conference organised by Steel Media began in Bengaluru today.

This is the first time the event is happening in India, Steel Media has partnered Reliance Entertainment Digital, part of Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group to organise the event.

“We have organised the mobile gaming events in London and Helsinki. As the mobile gaming industry in Asia is growing we want to enter the markets also. In the Asian region India is a big market and partnership with Reliance will help us grow,” said Chris James, MD Steel Media.

Around 25 independent game developers are showcasing their games at the event. The event also has various talks, panel discussion among others.

As part of the event, game developers are also given special slots for interacting with various investors to develop games.

Commenting on the partnership, Manish Agarwal, CEO of Reliance Entertainment Digital said, “We are glad to announce our collaboration with Steel Media to get an international event like Pocket Gamer Connects to India. This event will offer independent developers in India to see and understand the developments happening around the world”.

Reliance is also organising a Game Hack wherein the winner of the event will get price money of around Rs 10 lakh. The preliminary round of the Game Hack was conducted in cities such as Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Delhi.
