RCom Q4 net profit jumps by 46 p.c.

Telecom operator Reliance Communications (RCom) on Friday reported 46.15 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs. 228 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2015. The company had posted net profit of Rs. 156 crore in the same period a year ago.

The total consolidated income increased by 5.3 per cent in the reported quarter to Rs. 5,694 crore, from Rs. 5,405 crore in corresponding period of 2013-14.

For full year ended March 31, 2015, the consolidated net profit declined by about 32 per cent to Rs. 714 crore from Rs. 1,047 crore a year ago. The annual income of the company increased by 2.5 per cent to Rs. 21,770 crore, from Rs. 21,238 crore in previous fiscal.

Shares of RCom closed at Rs. 67.8 a unit, up 5.28 per cent from previous close on BSE.
