Sensex gains 158 points

Stock indices gained on Monday with the S&P BSE Sensex rising up 157.64 points to 18946.98. BSE’s metal stocks gained the most with 4.52 per cent followed by FMCG (2.30 per cent), health care (2 per cent) and capital goods (1.95 per cent). Except banks, which lost 1.07 per cent and oil & gas (0.51 per cent), all other sectoral indices ended in the positive territory. On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the 50-share Nifty closed at 5612.40 with a gain of 46.75 points.
