Hero Honda net up 74 %

Two-wheeler manufacturer Hero Honda has reported record financial results with its highest-ever annual revenues, operating income and earnings per share.

The company's total turnover grew to Rs. 15,860.51 crore, a growth of 28.1per cent over Rs. 12,382.25 crore recorded over the last fiscal. The net profit after taxation has risen by 74.1 per cent to Rs. 2,231.83 crore.

Riding on robust sales growth of 18.9 per cent in the fourth quarter, Hero Honda's total Q4 turnover grew by 20.1 per cent to Rs. 4,122.32 crore from Rs.3,430.41 crore in the year-ago period. The net profit for the quarter went up by 48.9 per cent to Rs. 598.80 crore.

Rs. 30 final dividend

Hero Honda had recently announced a special silver jubilee dividend of Rs. 80 on each share of Rs. 2 face value involving a payout of Rs. 1,869 crore. It has now announced a final dividend of Rs. 30 per share. The company had crossed a total cumulative sales landmark of 30 million of two-wheelers in March, 2010. According to Brijmohan Lall, Chairman, “Hero Honda's strong foundation, value system and partnership with key stakeholders have been the key to the company's continued success. These have engendered a growth culture within the company, which gives us a strong momentum in the market place.”
