June 20, 2011 10:42 pm | Updated 10:42 pm IST - CHENNAI:

Ajuba Solutions India, a fully-owned subsidiary of Ajuba International, LLC of the U.S., has undergone a major management metamorphosis.

With a new management team in position, Ajuba is now looking to not only consolidate and expand in the healthcare space but also explore newer verticals.

According to Tony Mira, who is the co-founder and President and CEO of MiraMed Global Services Ltd., Ajuba had to re-organise its India team in the wake of unexpected developments. Devendra Saharia, a co-founder who became the head of India operations, after selling his stake to Mr. Mira left the company. Maya Mohan, Director of Healthcare Operations, Shankar Narasimhan, head of finance, and Stephanie Gregory, head of client service, had left in quick succession.

Mr. Mira said the focus would now be on establishing the right culture which offered friendly environment to work and offer ideas.

The company, he said, had roped in Ganesh Kumar of Cognizant as its new Director of operations. Hema Parikh would be the new head of HR and Aravind Nadella, the new head of technology and IT. The company has currently 1,800 people at its Tidel Park facility here.

Established in 2000, Ajuba is a part of the Michigan-headquartered MiraMed Global Services group. Mid-way through the last decade, Mr. Mira had bought out the partners and also the institutional investors in Ajuba.

A $25 million company, Ajuba is focussed on providing revenue cycle management solutions to the healthcare industry. The company currently serves around 24 entities in the U.S.

Ajuba would look to more than double the headcount by 2014. In this context, Mr. Mira said the company would scout for additional space to expand. He also hinted at the possibility of the company going in for its own campus in Chennai. Besides, it would look at insurance and pharmaceutical verticals to expand its business.
