TVS Motor Company launched its premium executive deluxe 125-cc motorcycle here on Monday in a bid to regain lost ground in the executive segment of the motorcycle industry that accounts for 40 per cent of the market. Dubbed by the company to be one of the most feature-filled products to roll of its lines, TVS Phoenix 125 is targeted at consumers who aspire for more than just commuting.

“This is an important step in increasing our presence in the executive deluxe segment which accounts for a substantial share of the market,” said TVS Motor Company Head (Motorcycle) Arun Siddharth. “With this launch we hope to remedy our absence in a segment that is estimated at 1.6 lakh units a month,” he added.

This year, the executive deluxe segment has grown by 8 per cent.

TVS Phoenix comes with a new 125-cc EcoThrust engine that the company claims provides excellent pickup and best in-class fuel efficiency. A rotopetal disc brake, LED pilot lamps, and a stitched dual texture cushion seat are some of the other features.
