Anchor Electricals, a member of Panasonic group, and a leading electrical solutions company, is planning to expand the facility at Haridwar (Uttarakhand) to cater to the growing demand for wiring accessories. This would be done by installing additional equipment.

Addressing presspersons here on Saturday after launching “Roma Viola” range of modular switches here, Paritosh Mahajan, Product Manager (modular switches and wiring devices) said the Haridwar plant has most modern manufacturing and testing facilities. The company was turning out more than one million switches and three million components daily from its four locations namely Daman, Valsad, Kutch and Haridwar. Mr. Mahajan said Roma had been the market leader in modular switches and accessories for over 15 years. The products under Roma Viola brand were designed and evaluated through a collaborative effort of Anchor and the Panasonic design teams, he said. According to Raj Mohan Nair, State Business Head, Tamil Nadu, Roma Viola would be catering to the premium segment of modular switches. Anchor was commanding a significant market share in modular switches from Tamil Nadu.
