In a top level management change, Dutch consumer electronics maker Philips on Monday said the head of its Indian electronics division, Murli Sivaraman, would take over as the global head of the firm's domestic appliances business.
Philips Electronics India Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Murli Sivaraman would head the global domestic appliances business of the group and he would be based out of Shanghai in China, the company said.
Mr. Sivaraman would be replaced by Rajeev Chopra, who is now head of Philips Lighting India.
Mr. Chopra had now been appointed as the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Philips Electronics India, though he would continue to lead the lighting business in India till his successor was appointed, the company said.
