Mahindra Satyam Chairman Vineet Nayyar said the company was in the final stages of getting approval for the merger. The response to the merger was overwhelming and the company was on course for the merger seeking approval from the Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra High Courts. “We are awaiting the approval of the High Courts,” he said.
The merger, expected to help leverage synergies between the two entities, would give scope for adopting business models that suit the new and emerging markets.
