IT solutions provider to the global travel, transportation and logistics industry, IBS Software, has inked a deal with Delhi-based all cargo airline Aryan Cargo Express (ACE) for implementing its cargo solution, iCargo.

The contract was signed on Tuesday at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, during the Air Cargo India event. Set to start operations in early this eyar, ACE joins a list of users that include leading names in the aviation cargo industry.

The cargo solution iCargo is now being viewed by the global airline freight industry as a viable and proven alternative to the expensive legacy systems that have been traditionally used by most airlines for the past decades. ACE has opted for the Software as a Service (SaaS) mode of iCargo where the solution will be hosted from IBS’ data centre. Airlines the world over are increasingly opting for SaaS or hosted model of IT solutions which work on a ‘pay as you use’ basis wherein customers are spared the large upfront costs for using the software.
