In a shoddy affair, Google removed India from the list of countries from where developers could publish paid Apps on its Android developer support website - support.google.com.
When contacted, Google India representatives said India had been included by mistake last week, and that there was nothing official to talk about. The listing of India had generated considerable interest among mobile developers in discussion forums.
The redaction now comes as a disappointment as Indian developers are allowed to put out only free Apps for the Android platform. This significantly hampers the chances of monetisation and business building.
